Entry
$35 to apply; $8,295 programme fee before scholarships
the page states $0.00 after the scholarship every Indigenous arts participant receives
Your week
Nineteen days in the Rockies
a single bedroom, a meal plan and 24-hour studio access
Your rights
Nothing about rights in work made during the residency appears in the captured terms — the programme page, captured August 11, 2026.

Nineteen days in the Rockies — November 16 to December 4, 2026 — for Indigenous musicians, vocalists, rappers, singer-songwriters, DJs and instrumentalists, from anywhere in the world. Applications close August 12, 2026, which makes this the nearest deadline on the site.

The money is the unusual part, and it is unusual in the right direction. The programme fee is listed at $8,295 per person for tuition, accommodation and the meal plan; the page then states that all Indigenous arts participants receive a scholarship covering 100% of the total fee, meal plan and accommodation costs, and prints the result as $0.00. The only sum a successful applicant is asked for on the captured page is the $35 application fee. Unlike the Centre’s Soundweavings programme, there is no undisclosed split between tuition and room here, because there is nothing left to split.

What is included is itemised: a single bedroom on campus for the whole stay, a meal plan the page prices at a “$68 credit per day”, and 24-hour access to the studios and music huts. Applicants are asked for two or three samples of finished songs or works in progress, and must be 18 or over when the programme starts.
