Your rights
Nothing about rights in work created during the residency appears in the captured terms — the residency guidelines, captured August 11, 2026.
The Spring 2027 window is the one open now: applications for residencies running mid-February to May 2027 are accepted from August 1 through September 15, 2026. Music is a named discipline rather than an afterthought — the guidelines list “MUSIC/COMPOSITION - including composition, performance, vocal, and theory, in all genres of music”.
This is a paid residency, and the page says so plainly: $30 to apply and $300 per week once you are in. Against that, two subsidies are published with numbers attached — financial aid that averages $250 and is capped at $500, and Distinguished Fellowships that remove two weeks of fees entirely and add a $700 stipend. So a two-week stay lists at $600, and the published aid can cover between roughly forty per cent and all of it, depending which award you get. The page does not say how many of each are given, which is the figure that would finish the sum.
What the fee buys is a private studio with living space, a bathroom and a full kitchen on 600 forested acres, communal vegetarian dinners Tuesday through Friday, and access to the Centre’s equipment — including a Steinway. Nothing in the guidelines addresses who owns what is made there.

Who can apply
Artists across the Center’s named disciplines, music among them: “MUSIC/COMPOSITION - including composition, performance, vocal, and theory, in all genres of music”.
What it costs
“$30 application fee”, then “$300 per week” for the residency itself. Financial aid is published with figures — “average award amount is $250, with a maximum award of $500” — and Distinguished Fellowships “remove the fees for a two-week residency and provide a $700 stipend”. How many of each are awarded is not published. Captured August 11, 2026.
